Every product sold by Custom Wavers is personalized and manufactured specifically for the customer who orders it. Because of this, our design approval process — and what happens after you approve your design — is central to how orders are handled. Please read this policy carefully before placing a custom order.

1. Custom Orders Are Made to Your Specifications

When you place an order with Custom Wavers, you are requesting a product built around your face, character, business, logo, branding, colors, promotional text, or other details you provide. No two custom orders are the same, and each one is produced only after you have reviewed and approved the final design.

2. The Design & Proofing Process

After you place your order and submit your photographs, logo, artwork, text or other materials, our design team prepares a design proof (mock-up) based on the information and instructions you provide.

  • The proof is sent to you for review before any printing or manufacturing begins.
  • You may request reasonable revisions to the proof — such as corrections to spelling, colors, logo placement, character details, or promotional text — during the design review stage.
  • Production does not begin until you have reviewed the proof and given your final approval in writing (including by email or through our order/approval system).

3. Your Responsibility During Approval

Before approving your design, it is your responsibility to carefully check every detail shown on the proof, including but not limited to:

  • Name, business name and spelling
  • Logo, branding and artwork accuracy
  • Phone number, website and contact details
  • Colors and character appearance
  • Outfit, accessories and character features
  • Promotional text and messaging
  • Size and layout of printed elements
  • Any other customization you requested

Custom Wavers is not responsible for reviewing or catching errors in the information you personally submitted and approved. Your approval confirms that you have checked the proof and that it is correct and ready for production.

4. What Happens Once You Approve the Design

Once you give final approval on your design proof:

  • Your order is confirmed as approved for production, and printing/manufacturing begins.
  • The design is considered final. No further changes, edits, or corrections can be made after this point.
  • Materials, printing, labor and production costs begin to be incurred on your specific order as soon as production starts.

5. No Cancellations, Returns, Refunds or Exchanges After Approval

Because your product is manufactured specifically based on the design you approved, once final approval is given and production has started, your order cannot be cancelled, returned, refunded, or exchanged for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Change of mind
  • No longer needing the product
  • Choosing the wrong size, style, or configuration
  • Colors, text, logo placement, character details, or artwork that matches what you approved
  • Spelling or information that was correct in the approved proof but is incorrect in your own records
  • Event postponement, cancellation, or schedule changes
  • Personal preference after seeing the finished product

This applies even if you later decide you would have preferred a different design choice — if it matches what you approved, it is not treated as an error on our part.

6. Exceptions: Manufacturing Errors and Defects

This policy does not limit any right you may have under applicable law, and it does not apply to products that:

  • Arrive damaged during shipping
  • Contain a genuine manufacturing defect
  • Contain a printing error caused by our production process (i.e., the finished product does not match the artwork you approved)

Such cases are handled under our separate Returns & Refunds Policy, including the claim window and evidence required to review a claim.

7. Requesting Changes Before Approval

If you need to make changes to your design, please do so during the proofing stage, before giving final approval. Contact us as soon as possible with your requested revisions. Once you approve the proof, we will assume the design is exactly as you want it.

8. Order Cancellation Before Approval

You may request to cancel your order at any time before you give final design approval and before production has started. Once the design is approved and production begins, cancellation is no longer possible for the reasons outlined in Section 5.

9. Acknowledgement

By placing a custom order with Custom Wavers, submitting design materials, and approving your final design proof, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have carefully reviewed the approved design in full;
  • You understand that approval authorizes immediate production; and
  • You accept that the order becomes final, non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable once production begins, except as described in Section 6 above.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Custom Order & Design Approval Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our design process, production practices, or legal requirements. The version posted on this page at the time of your order will apply.
